The Peace of Wild Things:
Permaculture Design, Bioregional Discipleship and the Ecology of Justice
A 17-day Permaculture Design Certification Course with Chris Crataski, Melissa Shank, Sylvia Keesmaat, Elaine Enns, Ched Myers & guests
April 25-May 11, 2014 * Ventura River Watershed, California
At Emmaus Community, we’re excited about the first Theologically-Rooted Permaculture Design Course to be offered in North America – and hope that we can send some folk.
The course will be a unique blend of an internationally accredited Permaculture design course, reflection on wider social and cultural discipleship issues, and biblical reflection. It is designed not only for those who wish to pursue Permaculture gardening itself, but also for those who are concerned with food security issues, economic justice and an agrarian Biblical vision. Indeed, the instructors see social and economic health as being intimately tied to the health of our watershed.
We have attached here a flyer for the course, a longer document with more in-depth information, and a registration form. You can also check out more at the host website here.
We realize that for some the cost ($1300+) for the course and distance will be prohibitive for some of us folks from Victoria.
We are looking into funding to assist with costs and also looking at carpooling options (it looks like a 20 hour drive from here in Victoria)!
Check out the forms below – and let us know if you’re interested in a trip!
